Welcome to Rickman Elementary School! I am the RTI teacher. I am so excited to get to know each one of you! You will probably see me in the hallways and in and out of many different classrooms. I have been teaching for over 20 years! I have taught grades K-8. I have been doing RTI for 5 years now. I love my job, I love being with kids, and I love being here at Rickman!

* Lexia Groups*
Goal: To read more accurately and fluently
Each class will spend time working on their individual Lexia plan. Students will be required to meet their time and and unit goal for the week.
At the end of each class, we will discuss and do hands on activities using the skills they have been working on. Students will have to answer questions about those skills.
* Writing Group*
Goal: To compose simple stories with a clear beginning, middle, and end
We will discuss the different parts of a paragraph.
Students will be asked to write a paragraph about the given topic. They will share their stories with the class.
We will also review sight words and practice speed reading.
