What We're Learning

 

In English/Language Arts, we are wrapping up CKLA Unit 8: Native Americans: Regions and Cultures. We will begin CKLA Unit 9: Early Explorations of North America this week!

 

In Social Studies, we are ready to begin Studies Weekly, Week 9: Major Physical Features of OurWorld. Students are also learning the names and geographical locations of all fifty states.

 

 

*Please note: With the push for proficiency on the ELA portion of the TCAP / TN Ready end-of-year assessment, the students will not receive a new Social Studies newspaper (Studies Weekly) every week. It will not correspond to the week of school we are in. We generally spend a couple of weeks on each issue due to the rigor and lengthy nature of this resource.
