About Me
This year will be my 19th year teaching, and my eighth year at Rickman. I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I enjoy teaching math and seeing my students become excited about learning and realizing that they have abilities they never knew they possessed. I believe all students have the ability to be successful, and I believe teaching is one of the most rewarding careers. I am married to Glen Savage, and we have two grown sons, Josh and Jacob. Josh works for the National Park Service at Big South Fork, and Jacob is currently attending UT Chattanooga working on his doctorate in Physical Therapy. I also have two sweet little Shih-Tzus named Theo and Oliver. In my spare time, I enjoy spoiling my dogs, spending time with my family, and traveling.
