the local EMS team has notified the district early this morning concerning the bad weather coming through tonight and the potential for flooding. With some districts closing today, we have received permission form the state to have virtual day tomorrow IF needed. Teachers have sent home assignments this afternoon just in case.

Livingston Academy seniors visited the Overton County Fairgrounds this week, helping to repaint structures and provide a deep cleaning. We are thankful for so many students that take pride in their community!

Our Rising Ninth-Graders Meeting is in two days! Overton County eighth-graders and their families are invited to attend an information session hosted by Livingston Academy's guidance department on March 25th. The meeting will take place during our annual Spring Fling event from 5:00 to 6:00 PM in the LA gymnasium.

Our 2025 Spring Fling is two days away! LA faculty will be present for parent-teacher conferences. Additionally, special programs will be hosted by Rho Kappa, the Creative Music Club, and the CTE department. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to LA junior Duncan Hargis for his selection as a winner for the UCEMC Washington Youth Tour Short Story contest! Duncan was one of several students chosen for this honor; he has received an all-expense paid trip to our nation's capital in June in addition to a $1000 scholarship!

The annual Overton County Fair Grounds clean-up event will take place on March 27th. LA seniors interested in contributing (and receiving six hours of community service) may see Teresa Johnson for a trip ticket (to be completed by March 25th).


Due to school being closed on March 5, we will reschedule the evaluation of the weapons detection system at Livingston Academy. We will post a new date once we have rescheduled with Xtract One.
